Target Market

My ideal customers for horticultural therapy are college students who are part of the Divine Nine, which includes historically Black fraternities and sororities. This group usually consists of young adults aged 18 to 25, with a mix of genders, although there are often more women because there are more sororities. These students are typically focused on their education, attending universities that promote cultural and community involvement.

These students mostly live in cities where their universities are located, often in tight-knit campus communities. Their family sizes can differ, but many come from families that value education and community service. When it comes to income, these students often work part-time jobs to help pay for school, which means they have less spending money than full-time workers. However, many of them also receive scholarships and financial aid to support their education.

These students are usually focused on their communities and care about personal growth, social justice, and mental health. They often take part in campus groups, volunteer activities, and social events, showing their dedication to their organizations and community issues. They prioritize self-care and holistic wellness, making them open to new therapies like horticultural therapy. Their personalities often show resilience and a strong desire to connect with nature, which helps them cope with the stresses of college life. Overall, this group is looking for ways to relieve stress while also wanting to strengthen their community ties and grow personally through meaningful experiences.
